Charities

We understand the need to help and look after others who are in need or not as fortunate as ourselves.

We support several charities chosen by our Nicol mere family:

The Brick

The Brick offers a huge range of services to people who are homeless, in poverty or facing debt crisis. This includes Crisis Intervention, Hospital to Home, Asset Coaching and Wigan’s largest Foodbank. As its name suggests, it provides a safe, solid building block for people in crisis to begin rebuilding their lives.

Koala Hospital, Port Macquarie, Australia

The children chose this charity after they saw the devastating fires in Australia in late 2019 early 2020. More than 61,000 koalas and almost 143 million other native mammals were in the path of the Australian bushfires and the children were really saddened after seeing this on the news. The children have chosen to continue supporting this charity since then.

Empathy, Wigan

Empathy North West is a non-profit organisation based in Wigan that offers therapeutic intervention to individuals, families, and children. We really care for each other’s mental health and do a lot to support each other, so we thought this was a great charity to support as they do so much good for people who need it in our local community.

Red Nose Day

Coming together to raise some smiles – and some money – to help people through the toughest times of their lives.

BBC Children in Need

The last couple of years have been incredibly hard for children and young people. Living through Covid has caused feelings of anxiety, fear and hopelessness in too many children; and the cost of living crisis is now pushing even more families into hardship. We raise money for Children in Need as they help so many people.

We have helped many other charities through fund raising events and donations over the years.
